No, No! I have not forgotten to update my blog (though the recent statistics might indicate otherwise
). I think I was going through what they call – “the writer’s block”. WordPress keeps mailing topics – prompts to remove your writer’s block! (feels nice to be called a writer though
). Never mind, I admit I am human enough and forget things. So far, I have always heard that humans are blessed with the ability to forget things. Here is another perspective of looking at it…humans are also lucky to be allowed to forget!! Imagine our plight if the (non-living) things around us were given this ability! :O Our day starts with the ringing of the alarm clock, is spent mostly in front of the laptop or on the cell phone and ends watching our favorite channel on the TV. We set reminders for our friend’s birthdays, store all numbers in the cell phone, prepare a TO-DO list on the ‘sticky notes’ in our laptop and keep posting all of this on Facebook to flood the News Feed!
We are so dependent on these electronic gadgets for every chore we perform that their forgetfulness would create a havoc! Imagine,
-
what if the alarm clock forgets to ring in the morning?
-
what if the computer we log on to everyday forgets our credentials?
-
what if our own cell phone forgets to show a birthday reminder of a dear friend?
-
what if the television set forgets our favorite channel someday?
-
what if the Facebook page we refresh every minute forgets to give us a notification?
-
what if our debit card forgets its bar code?
We have become so accustomed to these electronic devices that our life would be a chaos if they start forgetting! Thank God I’m human and have these gadgets at my disposal
P.S. – Dont forget to key in your thoughts!

Hey Seema,
Truely Nice Post…
To Kill time is very important thing…
Generally we kill time either by playing game on mobile / PC or chatting with friend or posting message on social networking site or sometimes just refereshing inbox to check new mail or watching TV.
We haven’t any alternate option to kill time but very slowly these options become addiction for all of us. U know, I am unable to remember mobile numbers except my home’s Landline #. Sometime I think, If I forget to pick my mobile and If I haven’t any money (or Credit Card) in wallet and I am at unknown place, then to whom I will call?
AW, Very Interesting Post… and BTW you got good comment from Aniket
..
Hey..Thanks Ujval!
I know, it has become hard for us to live without these gadgets! And me too…cannot remember a number without my cell phone! And these days, it is a crime to forget cell phones!
It just causes more trouble to the people around you than it is to yourself!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Nice 1 ! Keep writing!
thank you very much
